The Letort Cricket is an older fly design, but today still a classic. used wet or dry this effective terestrial wins the day on august hopper waters as well as some hopper patterns!
The Letort Cricket comes from Pennsylvania and was originated around 1960 by master fly fisherman Ed Shenk. It’s not an exact replica of a cricket, of course, but it is a good imitation and can be fished wet or dry.
